About us

M/s Druk-Care Engineering is a Research & Development oriented firm based in Bjimena Industrial Estate, Thimphu (Bhutan) that strives to innovate, invent, and locally produce essential eco-friendly technologies, products, and services. The following are some of its main endeavors so far:

1. Ground & Electrode Enhancement (GEE) electrical earthing system – This provides safe, durable, reliable, and maintenance free earthing installations. The entire power sector, ICT sector, and all electricity consumers could greatly benefit if its use is adopted nationally.
2. Clean and fuel efficient biomass heaters, cookers, boilers, etc – These are some of the most fuel efficient and clean burning devices. They have the potential to greatly reduce firewood consumption (and curb deforestation) especially if agro-forestry residues are utilized for fuel. The large scale adoption of such modern biomass energy technologies in Bhutan will enhance national energy security, reduce energy costs, reduce energy imports, increase energy exports, defer capital investment for upgrading power distribution infrastructure (i.e. electricity demand peak shaving during winters), etc.
3. Industrial machines/equipment – portable concrete mixers and sand/soil sievers, wood work equipment (table saw, wood chippers), pulverizers (for powdering), large washing machines (for hotels and institutions), presses, etc. These are designed to match the unique and special needs of customers.
4. Eco-friendly blocks/boards (made mineralized wood chip aggregates) – Some of the main benefits of using such boards in house constructions include: (a) faster, cost effective, and less labor intensive house construction, (b) better house insulation (more energy efficient), (c) lighter and seismically safe houses, (d) reduced fire hazards (i.e. boards are fire resistant)
